  • Winners

    Wed 06 Sep 2023 MP

Last Thursday, we were invited to the Penwortham in Bloom Awards Ceremony. As it was still in the summer holidays, Mr Earl went along and was amazed to receive the Gold Award on behalf of the school in the category of institutional entrants (schools, churches and scout groups etc.)

Before the first place was announced, we were praised for teaching children how to grow their own vegetables and where their food comes from. They said that it was the best institutional entrant and that our scarecrows showed flair and originality. There was display in the venue of pictures of our scarecrows and the garden for everyone to see.

We won a gold flower trophy, certificate and thirty pounds of garden centre vouchers. Well done everyone!
