Hi, my name is Janet Reed and I’m one of your parent governors, my daughter Eleanor was a pupil at Moor Hey throughout her high school years and thoroughly enjoyed her time in school. Since leaving Moor Hey, she has attended Newman College and is currently a student at Freeman College in Sheffield, where she lives in supported housing with a couple of other students learning life skills and attends college during the day.

I’m married and have two teenage children. I work full time as a counsellor in schools, with children aged 5 to 11 and am a director of a plumbing business. Recently I graduated from UCLAN with a degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

I’ve lived in South Ribble for most of my life and feel passionate about helping to support both staff and pupils at Applebee Wood as they progress and fulfill their goals.
